From a Borrowed Squeegee to a Moerman Tattoo: Meet Kersten Täht

It all started with one borrowed squeegee

Around eight years ago, Kersten helped out washing windows for a couple of days in Estonia and unexpectedly discovered something he genuinely enjoyed. Without professional tools or experience, the journey started small, with a borrowed squeegee, a few windows in the neighbourhood and a growing fascination for the work itself.

As more people started recommending him, window cleaning slowly grew from a hobby into a true passion. Today, Kersten combines window cleaning with his full-time job as a transport worker, often working long days during Estonia’s busiest cleaning seasons in spring and autumn.

Working independently is an important part of that journey. Quality, customer satisfaction and reputation always come first, which is exactly why he prefers handling every job himself.

Over the years, another important lesson became clear: the job is not only about perfectly clean glass, but also about understanding customers and delivering a service people truly appreciate.

For him, a job is only truly finished when the customer genuinely feels satisfied with the result. Perfectly clean glass alone is not enough. Attention to detail, clean frames and sills, clear communication and trust all play an equally important role.

“This job is not only about window cleaning, it is also about communicating with people. Good communication skills are just as important as technical skills.” — Kersten

One thing that immediately stood out to us when discovering Kersten Tätt’s story was his Moerman-inspired tattoo, proudly representing his passion for window cleaning.

“This tattoo symbolizes my love for window cleaning, the Moerman brand, and also the color blue. It was made consciously and represents me as a person.” — Kersten

Good communication skills are just as important as technical skills.

Moerman tools that changed the workflow

In 2018, Kersten visited a cleaning trade fair in Tallinn, where he was introduced to Moerman. Looking back, that moment marked the beginning of a completely new chapter in his journey as a window cleaner.

Until then, the setup had been simple, with borrowed tools, basic equipment and dish soap. Professional window-cleaning tools still felt out of reach. That quickly changed the moment the Excelerator 2.0 entered the picture.

It became the very first professional tool Kersten bought for himself and, over the years, one of the tools he relied on the most.

Using Moerman tools did not just improve the quality of his work. It completely changed the way the job felt. The workflow became faster, smoother and more efficient, while the tools themselves immediately stood out because of their comfort, ergonomics and thoughtful design.

It was clear from the beginning that these tools were built differently. In his own words, Moerman became “the Lamborghini of window cleaning”.

Growing through the process

Sharing his work online also became an important part of Kersten’s journey. What started as a simple way to document progress slowly turned into a platform where he could share his experiences, daily work and personal growth within the profession.

But for Kersten, it is not about showing perfection. It is about showing the reality behind the craft, the learning process, the progress over time and even the mistakes made along the way.

Looking back at older photos and videos reminds him how far he has come, both professionally and personally.
